Project Title: Negotiations and Prioritization of Foreign Aid in Afghanistan between 2002 and 2018.

Biography:

Dr Safiullah Taye completed his PhD at Deakin University, focusing on Negotiating Subnational Aid Allocation in Afghanistan between 2002-2018. Safi’s academic research and Op-eds have been on Afghanistan and the region with some of the work published by Asian Studies Review, Middle East Critique, Aljazeera Centre for Studies, the Conversation and several others. Since early 2022, Safi has been on the International Advisory Board Member of the Middle East Critique Journal. Along with research, Safi has also worked as a Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer at the Australian Catholic University, University of Melbourne and Deakin University. Safi is currently working with the Australian Red Cross with the Strategy and Influence whilst also Lecturing at the Australian Catholic University.
